TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By submitting equipment for repair by Tass Romsey the customer accepts all the following conditions:

Repairs

All items are inspected on receipt prior to repair. We will take pictured of any obvious marks / scratches. We will not be responsible for marks that become apparent after cleaning or for items viewed in low light conditions. We treat all items as if they were our own and whilst every care is taken of all equipment in our care we cannot be responsible for any marks caused by handling or cleaning. This is particularly applicable to vintage equipment which has been repainted either by the owner or a third party. As such resprays are rarely as durable as the original paint finish and damage is often inevitable during dismantling and repair therefore.

All repairs and overhauls include a 3 month warranty which covers labour and original parts used and applies to the original fault condition only. All equipment repaired under warranty will be repaired free of charge. (including the travel back to the customer if applicable) Subsequent different faults are not covered by this warranty. If there is evidence that  either the equipment covers, PCB's or mechanism have been removed or any subsequent modifications have carried out during the warranty period then any repair warranty is voided. If a fault is suspected after repair then owners should make every effort to eliminate all other parts of their system before contacting Tass Romsey (interconnects, speakers, source components etc). If equipment is returned to the workshop under warranty which is found to have no fault then an investigation and inspection charge of £15 per hour will be invoiced.

No liability is accepted for any damage or failure to any other item of equipment forming any part of your TV or audio system. By it’s nature, vintage equipment even when repaired will be subject to unpredictable failures from time to time and such events are impossible to attribute to any one cause.

Repaired equipment will only be stored for a period of 90 days from time of notification of completion.

(This also applies to equipment that has not been completed. Such as a refused estimate or discontinued /unobtainable parts) After this time Tass Romsey reserve the right to dispose of or sell equipment to recoup costs if the repair invoice still remains unpaid and Tass Romsey will not be liable for any losses incurred as a result.

New Sales

All new electrical items sold by Tass Romsey come with the standard 12 months guarantee, unless noted otherwise.

(Some items come with an additional 2, 3 or 5 year cover)

Guarantees are only covered with the original customer receipt.

Any attempt to remove covers, will make the guarantee void.

All other small sales items such as Blank DVD's, leads and cables etc, are covered by a 3 month guarantee.

Used Sales  -  Sure-View TV & Audio Second Hand Sales

Some companies have no or little guarantee with used equipment.

Depending on the cost, all of our used sales come with either a 3 or 6 month guarantee.

Used items can be more likely to fail than brand new ones, so ours is a generous guarantee which is  covered on receipt of  the original customer receipt.

Any attempt to remove covers, will make the guarantee void. All units are sold with a tamper proof 'Guarantee Void If Removed' sticker.

Any item that fails in the guarantee period should be returned to us for examination / repair.

Refunding of used sales is only given if a unit has seriously failed to the point it is not repairable, or if a unit has had multiple faults during the guarantee period.

Payment is via Cash, Cheque, Card or BACS.

For repair jobs the inspection fee (£35) must be received before any work takes place. The balance must be received before any item is returned / collected.
